Breakfast Program

The need for a breakfast program has never been so great and students are urged to participate in the breakfast program. Each breakfast bag and breakfast meets the strict new standards of the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act and includes whole grains, 100% juice, fruit and allowable caloric limit and calories from fat. All items are peanut free.
Grades K-5 (except G.B. Luhrs): “Breakfast Bags” sell for $1.50; $.30 to students eligible for reduced meals and no charge for students eligible for free lunches. The breakfast menu is a set ten day menu. Each breakfast includes milk, fruit, juice cup and the main breakfast item of the day. Grades 6-12: The breakfast cost is $1.60; $.30 to students eligible for reduced meals and no charge for students eligible for free lunches. A full student breakfast includes a choice of entree supplying grain and/or protein, two (2) fruit side dishes and choice of milk. Parents who wish to limit breakfast purchases may request a note “tag” be placed onto their students’ lunch account. Requests can be made by contacting the Food Service office at 530-2722. Breakfast purchases will be deducted from student account balances. Parents/guardians are encouraged to continue to be aware of student purchases and account balances.
