Do you have obstacles getting your child to the dentist?
If so we have good news!
Today teachers distributed forms for a NEW dental program called SMILES. Date to be determined by number of interested participants.
The nurses have noticed an increased need for dental care in our district and many obstacles for our students to get to the dentist, so we are collaborating with SMILES Mobile Dentists to bring a dentist to our district.
This program is FREE to the district and it provides exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and X-rays. Statistics show that 35% of absences in US Schools are dental related.
If you know any students who may benefit from this program please send them to the nurse’s office for a form. We would hate for anyone to miss out on this opportunity.
Simply go to www.myschooldentist.com OR fill out and sign the permission form and return it to the school with your child.
