James Burd Elementary School is proud to provide an update on our playground renovations:
Thanks to the generosity of multiple local businesses and organizations, we have secured the necessary funding to move forward with a new playground. We will be seeking Board approval to remove the existing playground structures at the June 24, 2019 meeting. Additionally, we will be submitting a request to the Board of School Directors to approve our new playground structures. Once approved, the demolition will begin in July; our new playground equipment will arrive in early August with a tentative community build during the 2nd or 3rd week of August. Our goal is to have the new playground ready for students by the first day of school. More information involving the community build will be forthcoming.
We are seeking additional donations to secure rubber mulching beneath the playground equipment. If you are interested in making a personal donation please click here.
