SASD Board Approves Updated Mask Requirements
On Monday, January 10, 2022, the Board of School Directors approved recommendations to modify the District’s masking policy and quarantining procedures to align with updated CDC recommendations. Changes will take effect after January 13th, 2022. After that date, it will be optional for students and staff to wear masks, while masking is strongly encouraged. SASD continues to encourage students and staff to get vaccinated and also voluntarily participate in the District’s rapid antigen testing program. By enrolling in the free rapid antigen testing program offered by SASD, students and staff can be tested in the school nurses office if they exhibit any symptoms that may be attributed to COVID. The shallow nasal swab test is simple and painless providing results within 15 minutes.
